Welcome to National Disability Forum Solomon Islands
A safe, inclusive, empowerment, and equitable society for all
What we do
01.
— Legal Clinic for PWD
Recognizing the impact of inconsistent service delivery to persons with disabilities where clinic operations are reliant on short-term project funding, the parties to this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aim to outline a sustainable model for clinic operations
02.
— Community
We work with other affiliates and organisation in the Provincial settings sharing the same visions and mission. The aim is to ensure all people with disabilities participated.
02.
— UN CRPD
The Convention is intended as a human rights instrument with an explicit, social development dimension. It adopts a broad categorization of persons with disabilities and reaffirms that all persons with all types of disabilities must enjoy all human rights and fundamental freedoms
04.
— Policies & Advocacy
NDFSI’s policy and advocacy work aims to promote and support progress towards full implementation of the UN CRPD, through detailed policy analysis and advocacy on critical issues impacting on the rights of disabled people.
05.
— Training Services
Focusing on educational models about disability, access and inclusion.
We provide a range of workshops, training activities and training packages for people with and without disability to help them improve their knowledge and skills.
06.
— Member Engagement
Membership of NDFSI is open to any organisation, body, or group who can evidence a commitment to improving the status of people with disabilities in Solomon Islands, under the UN CRPD.
